Thursday at Ajdovscina market, 11.12.2014

Always when I arrive in one big city, I love to take a walk at the market. Somewhere they are separated, one are so called green market and the other are markets with all other stuff, sometimes even junk.  I like the ambience of market. I mostly spend the most time next to used camera stands or the ones selling old books.

If I only have time, I like to talk a walk or ride my bike through Ajdovscina market on thursdays.

There is not a lot to offer. In fact, offer is based on consumer inquires. Fruit and vegetables stands are always the same, something local, something from Padua, Udine… sometimes some local cheese, cherries, christmas trees around new year, local wood products.  Mostly clothing products.

I’ve said many times that this needs to be documented. For myself. For Ajdovscina. Because it’s say, as my buddy Marko once said, that Ajdovscina does not have a strategy of fotodocumenting. So many great photographers, Veno Pilon was one, photo club…

Anyhow, market works and without buyers there wouldn’t be any sellers. The only thing I would change is to attract more people of market. How? I know, but I’m not telling.

I’ve took photos in BW. So I’ve seen photos in black and white. At the end I was a bit sorry, because there was a great weather and lighting. Even then I’ve noticed that my camera made a backup in RAW, so there are color copies too.
